The "Seniors" (plus Abbie past member of the club)
Parkfield Judo Club, based in Eastbourne East Sussex is a small and enthusiastic club for everyone. The club was founded in 1999 by Eddie Hughes (2nd Dan) and initially trained in the function room of the Parkfield Public House in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. The original venue giving the club its name. Eddie handed over coaching duties to Rob Grinstead (1st Dan) in 2004. Since 2006 we have been training at the Cavendish Sport Centre. The club is open to everyone, juniors are taken from 6 years old and there is no upper age limit. The club is affiliated to the British Judo Association (see "links page ") which is the UK National Governing Body for Judo. All club training session are conducted by BJA approved coaches. Members are required to become individual members of the BJA within four weeks of first joining the club. |
